INTEGRATED PROGRAMS (IP) PADA PROGRAM KEMITRAAN MASYARAKAT (PKM) DI UKM SRIKANDI DAN UD. BAROKAH, KELURAHAN SUKOLILO BARU, KECAMATAN BULAK, SURABAYA

Abstract

Sukolilo Baru Sub-District is one of resorts that focuses on dried fishery products selling and half-ready-to-eat products fond of by many tourists. However, the place to produce those products is less than to the qualified-standard. Integrated Programs (IP) as a community service program of Hang Tuah University includes; (a) giving a tutorial on culturing sea cucumbers (Holothuroidea); (b) giving a tutorial on Good Manufactured Products; (c) making a glass drying house that relies on sunlight and to protect it from rain. Based on that observation, the Faculty of Engineering and Marine Science conducted the implementation of its research and made a glass house for drying wet fishery product namely sea cucumbers (Holothuroidea) using a limited area above the storage of dried sea cucumber. Using the glass house, the owner can shorten the drying time, from 7 to 10 days into 3 days only. Thus, its effectiveness was proven; (d) managing the ownership of Selling Legalized License. Therefore, IP conducted by the team of Faculty of Engineering and Marine Science of Hang Tuah University was successful in enhancing the prosperity of the citizen of Sukolilo Baru Sub-District, Surabaya.
