PENGENALAN TANAMAN UPACARA AGAMA HINDU BALI KEPADA MAHASISWA STMIK PRIMAKARA DI KEBUN RAYA EKA KARYA, TABANAN, BALI
Abstract
The activity of introducing Hindu ceremony plants to STMIK Primikara students was held in Panca Yadnya Park, Eka Karya Botanic Garden, Tabanan, Bali. This activity aimed to introduce and record plants species used in Hindu ceremonies so that the younger generation can participate in the preservation of these plants. This activity was attended by 72 students from the Informatics Study Program, STIMIK Primakara, Denpasar Bali. The activity was divided into two stages, namely a lecture on the types of plants of Hindu Religion which are a collection of Taman Panca Yadnya, Eka Karya Botanic Garden, Bali, and continued with discussion. The second activity was a visit to the location of the Panca Yadnya Park, to observe the plants collection and record local names, photograph the plants and their parts. The recording was done through a google form that can be accessed by students via mobile phones. As many as 100% of the forms were filled out and submitted by the participants. A total of 46 species from 130 plant collections were found by the participants. The lack of informative location of plant plots and unlabeled plants were an obstacle in observing Hindu ceremonial plants in Panca Yadnya Park, Eka Karya Botanic Garden, Bali.
